Motor Driver System and method for protecting motor drive

A motor driver system and method for protecting motor drive is provided to prevent damage to an electric motor or an inverter due to an overcurrent even if the level of the overcurrent is fixed. In a motor driver system and method for protecting motor drive, inverter operates a motor(130) by a driving signal of the MICOM(240) and an overcurrent sensing unit(1050) detects the voltage applied in the shunt resistance(260) serially connected to a wire as the overcurrent. An overcurrent detecting unit transmits overcurrent to the inverter by using operational amplifier(675), a gain control resistance(685) and a PTC element(680). When temperature rises due to the operation of the motor, inverter outputs an overcurrent detection signal in the current lower than the overcurrent at the normal temperature state. If the overcurrent detection signal is generated, the motor stops and prevents the motor from the high temperature and overcurrent.
