Reconfigurable LC-reflectarray setup and characterisation

This paper presents the realisation and characterisation of an electronically reconfigurable reflectarray based on liquid crystals at 35 GHz, which is able to electronically steer the main beam continuously in between ±35°. To extract the characteristics of each single tunable unit cell directly on the reflectarray, a specific near field measurement setup is used to enable spatial resolution of the reflected magnitudes and phases.
