Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum Underwater Acoustic Communication Based on DSP

Underwater acoustic communications have severe Doppler frequency shift effect and multipath fading.While the Spread Spectrum communications have good performances of anti-interference and anti-fading,it can realize long distance communication with low power and high reliability.In this paper,the direct sequence spread spectrum(DSSS) communication systems in underwater acoustic communications were simulated.Then the systems were implemented in the DSP hardware platform.Finally the functions of DSSS underwater acoustic communications were validated by lake trial.
