Participación de las familias en centros de Educación Especial

Summary. This paper analyzes the perceptions of teachers of special education centers of Andalusia to the participation and involvement of families in the school. It uses a descriptive method based on the technique of the survey (n = 428), carrying out data collection using a semi-structured questionnaire “ad hoc”. Teachers are not very confident in ensuring the participation of families in the center; they consider the schooling of students with disabilities contributes to improving the quality of family life, being more favorable in the case of private / subsidized schools. For their part, teachers in public schools show greater willingness to work collaboratively with families, ensuring their participation in decisions that affect the school.
