The Monitoring of Long-Term Settlement of the Infrastructure and Vehicle-Caused Dynamic Response in Urban Rail Transit and Their Analysis

A comprehensive monitoring method and its system for infrastructure settlement and vehicle-caused dynamic response based on the Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) technology was presented. The real-time, continuous, automatic, remote-control monitoring system was realized by combining automatic inspection, wireless data transmission and real-time data analysis. With this system, monitoring for different infrastructures settlement and vehicle-caused dynamic response such as shield tunnel, cover-cut tunnel, U-shape bridge with steep grade and sharp curve were carried on. Therefore, the relative settlement among different infrastructures along train running direction and the relationship between the settlement and the vehicle-caused dynamic response was recorded and analyzed. This method can satisfy the requirements of continuous monitoring infrastructures during long-term train operation and provide the reference for the infrastructure maintenance in urban rail transit.
