Large Marine Power Generator Modeling Based on Artificial Neural Networks

In this paper, a radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) is used for large marine power diesel engine generator model building. RBFNN has been trained and learned under the different running states of marine power system, such as diesel engine generator starting, a general pump running and a side-thruster motor starting. From calculation and operation with program of digital signal processor (DSP), marine synchronous generator model of RBFNN may meet the needs of fast calculation.
