Numerical Study on Aerodynamic Characteristic of High-speed Trains at the Different Speed at the Cross Wind

A numerical simulation of aerodynamic characteristics of new model EMU under crosswind is given,using The Computational Fluids Dynamics Software called FLUENT.The effect of aerodynamic characteristics for two high-speed trains that are running along the same direction under different crosswind speeds is studied,and the data is compared with the single train.According to the calculated data,analyzing of the regularity and cause of the vehicle longitudinal,lateral aerodynamic changes in different wind speed and vehicle speed,so corresponding conclusions are obtained.To provide a basis for the safety operation at the crosswind in the future.
