Liposomal formulations increasingly are being used in biopharmaceutical development projects. Good manufacturing processes must reproducibly fabricate lipid vesicles that are as uniform in size as possible, carry the drug in sufficient concentration, and remain stable for an acceptable shelf-life under varying temperatures.
