The biophysical model of short-term momery

In this paper, the problems of short-term memory such as capacity, decay and rehearsal are studied using psychophysical functions in an integrate-and fire neuronal network model. The computer simulations are consistent with the actual psychological processes. It is found that the Storing up events depends on the coupling manner between the neurons in the network events, and the memory capacity is dominated by the value of afterdepolarization potential. There is a monotoic increasing relationship between the value of afterdepolarization potential and the memory numbers. The effects of brain oscillations, delay time of afterdepolarization potential and feedback inhibition are also discussed.
