Magnetic levitation linear feed unit is a new functional parts for machine tool.Vibration is one of the problems in the structural design,which can cause machine processing errors,affect machining accuracy as well as surface quality.Three-dimensional finite element model of the magnetic platform was created.By element analysis software ANSYS,modal analysis for the platform primary model was made to get the natural frequencies and vibration modes.The structure of the platform was improved according to the consequence.So the performance of the platform can be predicted during design phase.It provides theoretical basis for structural optimization of the platform.
