Inthispaperanequivalent continuous modelof powerelectronic converters isusedtodesign adynamic modelof anentire gasmicroturbine generation system. Itisshownthatthe obtained modelisinteresting foranalyzing thedynamic behavior oftheentire system andfordesigning thecontrol strategy ofAC andDC electrical quantities. Inordertocontrol thepowerflows a dedicated modelisdesigned todescribe energyvariations in storage elements (inertia, DC capacitor bus)andvarious losses. Thenwe demonstrate thatthismodelissufficient todesign the control system oftheentire powergeneration system, meanwhile theturbine, thepermanent synchronous generator andthegrid connected converter.
