Reliability analysis of hypercube multicomputers

This paper proposes a topology-based general algorithm to generate all Markov states of an n-dimensional hypercube. Considering the system to be degradable, we define task-based reliability (TBR) measures for the hypercubes. Using the proposed algorithm, Markov models for two and three-dimensional hypercubes are developed and solved to obtain various task-based reliability measures. Markov states for hypercubes of higher dimensions are generated using the proposed method. Results are validated through extensive simulation.
