Structural engineering into the next millenium

We can expect to see very significant changes take place in the profession of structural engineering over the next twenty years. The purpose of this paper is to try to outline some of the most significant of the changes which we, as structural engineers, need now to prepare for if we are going to survive and prosper professionally.
