Extended Petri net models for neural networks and fuzzy inference engines-their net structural properties

Extended Petri nets are proposed. This extended Petri net, containing the ordinary Petri net as a subclass, can model the vague conditions and can use the ordinary net theoretical technique to analyze the structural properties of the extended Petri net. Using this extended Petri net, the modeling methods of the fuzzy inference engine are derived. The boundedness, liveness, and reachability of this extended Petri net model of the fuzzy inference engines are analyzed and clarified theoretically. The properties of a previously published model and the proposed model are compared.<<ETX>>
