Performance of Sensor and Sensor less Doubly fed Induction motor (DFIM) under the current Sensor fault

This Paper shows the performance of Sensor and Sensor less Doubly fed Induction motor regarding torque and speed by injecting fault at current sensor. The model includes various type of fault in current sensor. Initially simulation model of Doubly fed induction motor is developed after that faults are produced into the model in different steps so that machine performance can be easily achieved. The advantages of sensor less induction motor drives are reduces complexity of the machine and lesser cost, minimize the size of the electric machine, reduces the no. of sensor, improved the noise level, enhanced definitively and lesser maintenance requirements. The operation of the machine in antagonistic environments maximum needed a DFIN without sensor i.e sensor less. The Speed Detection algorithm, with using current sensor only is implemented using MATLAB software to observe the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm
