An unusual case of fatal Strongyloides stercoralis hyperinfection.

Strongyloides stercoralis è un parassita agente di zoonosi diffuso in tutto il mondo in grado di infestare l’uomo, il gatto e il cane1. È tipico delle aree tropicali e subtropicali e solo con minore frequenza è stato segnalato in regioni temperate. Recentemente, in nord Italia è stata segnalata l’insorgenza di nuovi casi di strongiloidosi nell’uomo2. Nel cane la strongiloidosi è segnalata frequentemente in Giappone3,4,5, nel continente americano1,6 ed in RIASSUNTO
