Structural Analysis of Cable-stayed Bridge Under Random Cable Force

Aimed at the problem that cable-stayed bridge is sensitive to the variation of the cable force,but till now there is little quantitative analysis on the stochastic static characteristic of the bridge with respect to the variation of the cable force in the literature,combined the Monte Carlo simulation method with the cable force adjustment method in each sample group as well as the shape finding method,a new stochastic structural analysis method was proposed.Aimed at a symmetric radiating sparse cable-stayed bridge,the influence of random cable force on the structural static performance was analyzed.The calculated results show that a 2% cable force variation can bring a 30% to 50% variation of main girder bending moment,11.42% variation of main girder section stress,and a 440.25% variation of mid-span deflection.The 2% variation of the cable force has more influence on the deflection than that has influence on the section stress.The influence also shows that the maximum or the minimum bending moments of main girder section change among several special sections in different random cable force samples.
