A new method for measuring the static complexity in manufacturing

In a recent paper by Calinescu et al two methods were proposed for measuring the manufacturing complexity. In the first method, the complexity was divided into static and dynamic complexity and an equation based on an entropic method was used to compute the static complexity. In this equation, the only factor influencing static complexity is the distribution probabilities of resources being in the states. Sometimes, the states by themselves can have a significant role in the static complexity. From this viewpoint, a new method is proposed to compute the static complexity by using this new factor.
