Dielectric resonators for mid-range wireless power transfer application

We investigate mid-range wireless power transfer systems based on three types of dielectric resonators, i.e. the spherical resonators made of ceramic with permittivity of ε = 80, the resonator made of water with permittivity of ε = 78 and the disk resonator made of ceramic with permittivity of ε = 1000. The experimental investigation for the ceramic sphere and disk and the numerical investigation for the water resonators are performed. We investigated the power transfer efficiency as a function of the distance between resonators for these WPT systems.
