Chapter 3 – Research Methodology

The main focus of Chapter 3 is on the methodology of the study, explaining how to achieve the research objectives. There is a list of activities to be followed, which are divided into three phases. In the first phase, the classic AES-CCMP is implemented and coded. Next phase is to create new modes of AES-CCMP for mobile devices. For this purpose two optimized rounds of AES-128 are found in which the resource usage is optimized and further provided security, and the final phase is to create optimized AES-CCMP 256 in nonmobile devices. Another focus is on data analysis for implementing this research. The hardware and software specifications that are used in this study are also mentioned in the chapter.
