Flattening G-DEVS / HLA structure for Distributed Simulation of Workflows

The objective of the paper is to present a new flat-ten G-DEVS simulation structure and a Workflow environment based on it. We describe first the new flattened simulation struc-ture and give performance results. Then, having selected the essential concepts in the elaboration of Workflow, we present a language of description to define Workflow processes. We illus-trate the use of the new G-DEVS M&S structure with a Work-flow environment for modeling and simulating Microelectronic wafer production. Finally, we define a distributed Workflow Reference Model that interfaces components of the Workflow by conforming to the HLA standard.
