Enhancement of the measurement range of FBG sensors in a WDM network : a self-organizing network solution

Abstract A self-organizing network is used to improve the performance of FBG sensors in a WDM network. Experimental results demonstrated that the strain measurement accuracy up to 3 μɛ has been achieved even when the FBG spectrums within the network are partially or completely overlapped.
