Video endoscope Secure profilometer laser assisted surgery for integrated computer

Secure Video Borescope profilometer laser built for computer-assisted surgery. The invention relates to a video endoscope localized in space and containing a laser profilometer for the computer-assisted surgery. A laser beam (2) coplanar with the optical axis of the endoscope (1) is spread in a line (6). The deformation of the line seen by the camera (7) of the endoscope is used to find the distance of the points illuminated by the laser line with respect to the endoscope. The endoscope being positioned by sensors in the preoperative imaging scanner, the points illuminated by the laser line have their known position in both the preoperative scanner imaging and video imaging. This real-time image fusion device allows, firstly to enhance the video image by the data of the scanner, and secondly to update the scanner by the result of surgical excision using information from of the endoscope.
