Translating is important for foreign language learners. In other words, it is direct object for learning foreign languages including Korean. However, the students’ ability for translating is less than satisfactory due to various constraints in the actual teaching conditions. It is essential to come up with efficient translation strategies to improve students’ translation ability. In this paper, Chinese-Korean translation strategies in line with students’ fact are proposed by comparing the characteristics of Chinese and Korean. Firstly, the use of Korean connectives is elaborated in the translation based on the hypotaxis characteristics that Korean has. Secondly, a translation strategy is proposed on account of the differences of Chinese and Korean in word order and attributive phrase. Although this paper does not cover all Chinese-Korean translation strategies, it enables students to master scientific and effective translation methods and improve their translation skills.
