Artificial intelligence in structural engineering

Abstract This paper addresses application of artificial intelligence in the field of structural engineering. Existing experimental knowledge-based expert systems in the area of structures are surveyed and reviewed. Applicable artificial intelligence tools and techniques are discussed briefly.
