In this paper,the static characteristics of long span continuous curved steel box girder bridge is researched.The finite element simulation analysis based on one example bridge is used to demonstrate that: torsion effect of curved steel box girder influences the reaction force of bearing.The support escapes and "beam climbing" disease could be avoided through the structure analysis.The carrying capacity and allowable stress of the steel box girder bridge is not the main contradiction of the structure design,while the soft characteristics of the steel box girder makes that deflection control is the main factor of structure design.
