Transient Response of Two-wire Transmission Lines Excited by a Plane Electromagnetic Field

Transmission-line equations are always solved by finite-difference techniques,especially for time-domain coupling formulations.This paper uses an analytic method to discuss the load voltage and current transient response of two-line transmission lines excited by a plane electromagnetic field.The frequent domain analytic solution is obtained.Numerical examples show that it is easy to calculate the transient response by the frequency domain analytical solution and the Fourier transform technique.
