Coal classification based on environmental protection and burning quality

Both the environmental protection and the combustion quality were considered in the classification of coals based on the coal particle size distribution.According to the experimental design and research, the coal was divided into 4 types, through cluster analysis with the potential pollution, the combustion performance and self-adsorption capacity of the coals. The results show that,58% of the samples are type Ⅰ coal with better quality of environmental protection and combustion;21% of the samples are type Ⅱ coal with better combustion properties, but bad environmental performance;12% of the samples are type Ⅲ coal with better environmental performance, but bad combustion properties;and the other 9% of the samples are type Ⅳ coal,of which environmental performance and combustion properties are relatively unsatisfactory.
