Performance analysis of a Hough-based TBD algorithm using Pade approximations

In the background of K-clutter plus thermal noise, the performance of track-before-detect (TBD) algorithm based on Hough transform is analyzed detailed and the analytical expressions of detection probability and false-alarm probability are given. Then the Pade approximation (PA) method is used to approximately calculate these analytical expressions, which avoids complicated integral computation and conveniently finishes evaluating the detection performance. Lastly Monte Carlo simulation shows the feasibility of Pade approximations.
