Transaero Work Package 3: Trains Passing Effects — Summary and Conclusions

This paper presents an overview of the aerodynamics studies which have been carried out through the Work Package 3 of the European research project TRANSAERO (Transient Aerodynamics for Railway system Optimisation). This work package was dedicated to the investigation of the trains passing situations, both in open air and tunnel conditions. The trains passing issues are presented as well as the organisation which was designed to answer them.
