Surface Relief Fiber Bragg Gratings with Application to High Temperature Sensing

We use the flat side of a D-shaped optical fiber as a platform to etch a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) into the glass surface. We present our results for operation up to 1100 degrees Celsius.
