Li et al. (2003) developed a space-time microwave imaging system for breast cancer detection using a centimeter-scaled modified ridged pyramidal horn antenna. This paper further extends the investigation into the design features of the individual components of this ultrawideband antenna (UWBA) and their respective impact on antenna performance. These design features include the radius of curvature for both the launching plane and curved ridge, the vertical location of the curved ridge, the inner conductor's protrusion into the radiation cavity, and the discrete resistors' resistance values.
