The invention discloses a hydraulic system of a sunk garbage compression station. The hydraulic system comprises a motor, a hydraulic gear oil pump, an electromagnetic overflow valve, a one-way valve, a pressure switch, an electromagnetic reverse valve, an overlap hydraulic control one-way valve, a hydraulic control reverse valve, a quick joint, an oil cylinder, a hydraulic oil tank and a hydraulic pipeline; the motor drives the oil pump; high-pressure oil performs selection of three branch oil ways as a push plate action oil way, a bolt oil cylinder oil way and a lifting oil cylinder, hanging hook oil cylinder and cover plate oil cylinder oil way through a M-shaped three-position four-way electromagnetic reverse valve; the push plate action oil way is formed by connecting a compression oil cylinder with an unloading oil cylinder oil way in parallel; and a compression action of the compression oil cylinder is induced through a pressure switch to realize automatic control of compression cycle, so that garbage cannot fall behind a compression push plate. The hydraulic system prevents accidents caused by wrong actions of a control system through electrified combinations of the M-shaped three-position four-way electromagnetic reverse valve and reverse valves of all oil cylinders, and has the characteristics of high automation degree, safe and reliable operation, accuracy and high efficiency.
