Building without Adobe: Transforming Your Digital Collections with Open Source Tools

Digitization of physical materials is an expensive endeavour. In this demo presentation, Sara Allain and Sarah Forbes from the UTSC Library’s Digital Scholarship Unit will introduce three free, open-source tools that can be used to create and transform digital collections without the added cost of proprietary software. The presenters will discuss the benefits of open source, the implementation of agile workflows, and will touch on how these tools can support best practices for digitization projects.
