Mathematical Simulation of Scanning Arc in MIG-Welding

A mathematical model of scanning arc is developed for MIG-welding, which is a system of two first-order differential non-linear equations. Amplitude-frequency and frequency-phase characteristics of arc current as well as frequency characteristics of a sensitivity coefficient of arc current for different variables of spatial frequences of a workpiece surface relief are received as a result of simulation. On the basis of the developed model of the scanning arc the algorithm of evaluation of scanning arc deviation from the joint is analysed and possibility of improvement of its accuracy characteristics is shown.
