An Analysis of Ability of Storing Water for Explosive Lining in Soil with Varied Depths

Explosive lining is a novel structure that plays an important role in the disaster prevention and drought mitigation in agricultural regions.But its ability to store water is unclear up to now.In this paper numerical simulation is conducted with FEM on explosive lining in soil.Working conditions of varied water levels and varied depths of explosive lining are analyzed to get deformations and stress distribution for the structure.Stress patterns are shown and the best water level of safe lining is obtained.The ability to store water for different explosive lining is outlined.The research is significanct for fighting against current farmland droughts in China and lessening damage to crops.
