Holographic data storage with fractional Fourier transform

Abstract For holographic data storage we applied fractional Fourier transform (FRFT) instead of the conventional Fourier transform. In comparison to the conventional Fourier transform, the FRFTs shifting rule makes the spectral distribution more uniform and the FRFTs larger scaling factor reduces the reconstruction error. The phase mask designed by the Yang–Gu algorithm improves the spectral uniformity and reduces the reconstruction error.
