Zur Elektronenstruktur des 1,5‐Methano‐cyclodecapentaens

On the Electronic Structure of 1,5-Methano-cyclodecapentaene The He(I) photoelectron spectrum of 1,5-methano-1,3,5,7,9-cyclodecapentaene (Bicyclo-[5.3.1]undeca-1,3,5,7,9-pentaene) (2) is recorded and compared with that of 1,6-methanocyclodecapentaene (1). The orbital sequence in 2 is derived from MO-perturbational consideration. The PE spectrum does not provide arguments for a resonance stabilization of 2.
