Criterion-related validity of the situational and patterned behavior description interviews with organizational citizenship behavior.

The criterion‐related validity of the situational (SI) and patterned behavior description interview regarding organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) of university faculty members (n = 47) was investigated. Only the SI correlated significantly with peer ratings of two dimensions of OCB, namely OCB directed towards the organization (r = .50) and OCB directed at individuals inside the organization (r = .30).
