Analysis of optimized wheel rotation speed of composite desiccant based on silica gel

Based on the reasonable assumption,a numeric model describing the process of axial heat conduction and gas-solid two phase diffusion within porous composite desiccant wheel was set up and solved.The difference between computed and measured values was less than 10%.The impacts of its structure parameters and operating parameters on the optimized rotation speed were analyzed with this model.The results show that the thickness and regeneration angle of desiccant wheel have great effects on the optimized rotation speed.When the optimum thickness is 100 mm,and the regeneration angle is 90°,the wheel has optimal performances.
