The Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) programme at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya, started out in the mid-1980's with an initial intake of only 5 students. The programme is now placed under the Library and Information Science Unit and to date has produced about 206 graduayes. This paper describes the curriculum review process which was conducted in 2006. The review led to the reshaping of the course contents which took into consideration the emerging trends that are evident within the profession. The current structure of the MLIS programme requires the students to enroll in any one of the three modes namely, coursework only; coursework and dissertation or dissertation only.
