Content-based monitoring in grid environments

We propose an architecture for the implementation of monitoring services in grid environments. This architecture, which is based on the publish/subscribe paradigm, is compared and contrasted with the grid monitoring architecture (GMA), proposed by the Global Grid Forum (GGF), and currently adopted in several grid projects.
