On Degen's conjecture

Abstract W. Degen conjectured that two Bezier curves with common endpoints intersect no more often than their Bezier polygons. While this conjecture is easily verified for functional Bezier curves of equal degrees or of degrees n and n + 1, one can construct simple counterexamples to disprove the general conjecture.
