The effect of a magnetic field on the high-spin α low-spin transition in [Fe(phen)2(NCS)2]

Abstract The transition temperature of [Fe(phen) 2 (NCS) 2 ] measured by susceptibility measurements in an applied field of 1 T shifts by −0.11 − 0.04 K when the field is increased to 5.5 T. This shift is predicted on the basis of the known magnetic susceptibility and specific heat data.
