Environmental Management Systems As A Source of Competitive Advantage

Michael Nisbet, JAN Consultants, Montreal, Canada, discusses why complying with the greenhouse gas reduction commitments of the Kyoto Protocol would put great pressure on the cement industry in developed countries. He also explores why this pressure will not be felt equally by all cement companies, and how those that can reduce emissions at lower cost could find it a source of competitive advantage.
