A Novel Algorithm for DBA

For dynamic bandwidth allocation (DBA) in optical communication systems a novel scheme is proposed. The scheme is based on burst-polling delta DBA. A higher quality of services (QoS) can be achieved by the use of in loop-back WDM passive optical networks (WDM-PON). The algorithm consists of two parts in terms of facilitating inter scheduling mechanism and other part controlling the up as well as down streams. The network recourses can be optimally utilized. For the verification a simulation study has been carried out. It has been shown that the novel scheme can provide improvement as regards to packet delay, queue length and channel utilization.
