Whose Actions are Interactions? From Interface to In-Your-Face

The concept of Human Computer Interaction has been a useful one for getting designers and companies to focus on people sitting in front of computers. Much has happened however, in the almost 15 years since HCI concepts have taken root, and chief among these changes is the importance of the rich picture of how people use computers in their work and daily lives. The panellists will provide critical perspectives on HCI’s foundational notions of action and interaction, and constructive proposals for new directions.
