It ABSTRACT:Possibilities ofapplying theMicrowave Office packagetotheinvestigation ofthehelical delaysystem properties havebeeninvestigated. Modelsofplanar helical systems(HS)of varioustypes,developed usingthe Microwave Office internal graphical editor, arepresented. Itisshownthata helical electrode ofexpanded rectangle cross-section canbemodeledby a multilayer structure formedofconductor anddielectric layers. Thesimplified andbasic schemes ofswitching-on into thesignal channel of HS withanexternal shield aresuggested. Theseschemes allow investigation oftheamplitude-frequency response and phase-frequency response ofthesystem, thefrequency dependences of phasedelaytime,inputand wave resistances, waveresistances ofthecoaxial helical system for evenandoddwaves.
