A new method for filtering and segmentation of the ECG signal

A method is presented for the rejection of the muscle tremor noise and AC power line interference from the ECG (electrocardiogram) signal without rejecting any frequency component from the actual signal. The method is based on the detection of the signal turning points using the difference operator between successive samples. The authors also present a derivative-based method for the identification and separation of various segments of the ECG signal.<<ETX>>
