Abstract This paper deals with the development of new control engineering education programmes at three different levels at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana. A new form of continuing education for people from industry was prepared. Later, the courses were used as core material for new postgraduate specialisation programmes. A course in computer-aided control engineering was set up for University study. The current activities which are still running, will develop lectures, exercises and a laboratory for new undergraduate Engineering study. In addition to lectures and exercises with appropriate written materials as the basic results of the projects, some interesting common conclusions were made.
